The wilder, quieter great lake
Tso Moriri sits at 4,522 m in the Changthang plateau — Pangong's lonelier sister, ringed by 6,000 m peaks and grazed by the herds of Changpa nomads. Korzok village and its 400-year-old monastery cling to the northwest shore; black-necked cranes nest in the wetlands, and visitor numbers stay a fraction of Pangong's.
